Hi! My name is Alayna Degenhardt. I am currently studying broadcast journalism at West Virginia University with a minor in political science and communications.
I am striving to become a broadcast political analyst for a major news company, and I would also love to have a job in a political position for the state of West Virginia.
I believe hard work and determination can get anyone to their dream goals. I am secretary for West Virginia University’s chapter of Radio Television Digital News Association, and I also have helped political campaigns with their marketing strategies throughout West Virginia.
I am currently WVU News Social Square Anchor and also have been a host for Morgantown Today. These experiences have helped me to network and build my resume more, but have also advanced my story telling skills. I am highly skilled in curated content with Adobe Premiere.
I am always willing to learn and grow as a person in school and in life.
